Super Agnus

Super Agnus refers to the enhanced DMA controller and memory management chip (Agnus) found in Amiga computers equipped with the Enhanced Chip Set (ECS). Available in 1MB (8372A) and 2MB (8372B/8374) variants, it replaced the original Agnus and allowed the chipset to address up to 2MB of Chip RAM, doubling or quadrupling the original 512KB limit. This chip handles all DMA operations including graphics bitplanes, sprites, audio, and disk access, serving as the central arbitrator for custom chip memory access in later Amiga 500+, Amiga 600, and Amiga 3000 models.
