Amiga 500

The Amiga 500 was Commodore's entry-level home computer released in 1987, becoming the most popular model in the Amiga lineup with approximately 4.8 million units sold worldwide. It featured a Motorola 68000 processor running at approximately 7 MHz, 512KB of standard RAM expandable to 9MB, and the Original Chip Set (OCS) providing advanced graphics and sound capabilities for its time. Housed in a keyboard-integrated case with a built-in 3.5-inch floppy disk drive, the A500 targeted the home gaming and productivity market, offering multitasking capabilities and custom chipsets that could display up to 4096 colors and produce four-channel stereo sound.
